Hermigua is called the “green heart” of the island where still 50% of Gomeras banana plantation is cultivated.

The Hotel is situated nearby the center of the village on a beautiful slope, overlooking the extended green valley until the atlantic ocean. Hermigua has a very good climate, and offers a lot of hiking possibilities 

Bars, restaurants and local shops are only a short walk away.

The Hotel has 17 rooms, all of them has been beautifully restored retaining the original spanish style woodwork. The manager has shown a very good taste choosing the extraordinary decoration of the Hotel.

The rooms are nicely decorated, have a balcony, bathroom with shower and double beds. There is one studio available with 2 bedroms for max. 4 people

Breakfast is served insite the Hotel in the dining room ( non smoker room) between 8.30 am and 10 am, outsite you find the quiet terrace which offers a beautiful view, and where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea thinking about your plans for the day.

There is another terrace with sun beds beside the main house available.

Our personal opinion:

The Hotel Ibo Alfaro offers a very high standart and personal attention to the guests.

Hermigua is a very good location to explore La Gomera. It is well known for the good climate and you can find many good restaurants, shops and also handicraft center. The national park is only some minutes drive away. Nice walking can be done directly from the hotel.
